How reading is scored at A1
The whole exam counts together, and you need 60 percent of all points to pass. Reading is one part of that total.
Goethe A1 is not modular, so you cannot take Lesen on its own. You pass the Goethe A1 exam with 60 of 100 points in total, and you must take every part.
How to practise Goethe A1 reading
- You have 25 minutes for all 15 tasks, so read the task first and then look for the answer in the text.
- Know the task types before the exam: true or false, find information in short ads.
- Work under the real time limit, not with extra time.
- Check your result by part and practise the part that cost you the most points.
